My 3kw solar array paid for itself years ago. It produces all of the energy used in my house for heating, cooling, cooking, etc. as well as 1/2 the energy used by my vehicles. With the rediculously low price on PV cells recently, I bought enough to zero out the energy used by my vehicles.
