We have several Elec-Traks. One is still mowing our lawn powered by Li
batteries from a Coda. Don't ever hit rocks with the mower blades, the shock
is transmitted by the magnetic field and knocks the PMs loose causing motor
destruction. If we could get new motors at a good price, we could have another
machine saving gas.
I have two Elec-Traks as well; a yellow GE E-10 and an orange New Idea
E-8. The E-8 has a dead blade motor as well, with loose magnets. I
wondered how that might have happened. Maybe you have explained it!
These machines are rugged and simple as dirt. I didn't get manuals with
either of mine, but most things are pretty easy to figure out.
