Scanning an item multiple times on the checkin screen should not affect
your checkin statistics. The checkin date only gets saved when an item is
checked in, which closes the circulation. If you scan it again, it doesn't
create a new circulation transaction or rewrite the checkin date.

To be doubly sure, just count your checkins on your report using the Circ
ID field with "Count Distinct" and then you'll know that each circulation
was only counted once.
