Yes but if the world really isn't deterministic then turning quantum mechanics into something that was deterministic would be a point against Everett; and he provides no evidence it is deterministic or even proposes a way that this proposition could be tested even in theory. I like Everett's idea for reasons that have nothing to do with determinism, I like it because Everett says the moon exists even when I'm not looking at it.
