list. It sounds like it starts off already high up the ontological
tree and hence isn't really addressing what it claims to (Also,
anything on CEN which doesn't mention ToN in the credits is off to a
bad start, IMHO).
Yes, but it is frequent with physicists. They just work in the frame
of the Aristotelian metaphysics/theology. They take the physical
universe for granted, so "nothing" means some physical nothingness.
With QM, the physical nothingness is already Turing-Universal, so they
assume a particular universal system, and they induce it from
observation. But with computationalism, and the mind-body problem in
mind, we need to explain why it seems some universal system took an
importance in the observable realm. Obviously the author just ignore
the mind-body problem, or the 1p/3p relation problem, but he is far
from being alone: it is a tradition since more than 1500 years.
