I don't know enough about the nuances of American politics to have an
informed opinion. At face value, this strategy seems too complicated to be
plausible. I can imagine simpler and faster ways to get votes.

It is not clear to me that immigrants are a net negative in terms of
economic impact. In fact, I believe there are serious studies that show the
opposite.

Walls and armed guards seem cheaper,


This does not seem to be what History tells us. It is also quite dystopic...
