Of course. I even wrote a paper on it, but then Hofstadter and Dennett have been quicker than me. Searle made a gross level confusion error, obligatory from his belief that it is the physical activity of the brain which makes consciousness. The computer, in the 3p sense is NOT conscious. Only a (first) person is conscious. The computer just delineate the flux of the consciousness. Not only I am aware of the phenomenology, but I explain in all details why computer, more exactly the person attached to the computer (and infinitely many other in arithmetic) get a phenomenology, and find it as mysterious as us, but get the “correct” (assuming mechanism) theory soon or later. The first-person (meta-described by the Theaetetus idea (the standard theory of knowledge by philosophers)) []p&p explains a notion of subjective duration, close to Goethe, Bergson and Brouwer, and the []p & <>t gives a plausible physical notion of time.
