That was a Tyran trick to train people obeying to them. So why do you take this

I take it seriously because it drives the lives and politics of large
regions of the world. It causes over-population, war, and anti-science
attitudes all over the world.
The question is why do you give it cover and legitimize thoughtless
belief based on ancient authorities by using the word "religion" to
describe something that has nothing to do with what all those believers
call religion, when there is a perfectly good word for what you do, i.e.
"metaphysics".

The christian student of Hypatia were divided into civilised people discussing
math, physics and reality, and radicals defending the use of terrestrial
authoritarian means to covert people by terror and violence, together with the
exploitation of the (natural) fear of death, and (artificial, based on lies)
fear of the others.
Millions of people have believed that Earth is flat, but here, people accept
that they were wrong when the got the data and the explanations. The same can
be done with any concept. Only radicals dislike that move, because their agenda
is control, not the search of truth.
