[Philip Benjamin] Pagans are usually very brilliant and successful people. Augustine was a brilliant Greco-Roman pagan. Ptolemy was likewise a brilliant pagan astronomer, the Ecclesiastical authorities in Galileo's times were only defending the Ptolemaic scholarship, just as they defend Darwinism today. Lucifer (the shining one) is introduced as the most brilliant of all creation. Pagans produced some of the richest and greatest civilizations-Ancient Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, India, China, Greece, Persia, Rome etc. Brilliance is nobody's monopoly.
