I recently worked in an environment where we kept 3 fulls on disk at
all time using NTbackup like this (and used file backup software to
put the backup files to tape). Each full was kept in its own folder:
Good (1 day old), Bad (2 days old), Ugly (3 days old). We just
scripted it so that after NTbackup did its thing we rotate the backups
out and what was in Ugly goes to tape.

If you can afford to keep your Exchange fulls on disk and rotate them
like this, it speeds up recovery time quite a bit (being on gigabit
ethernet helps as well).
