We have been testing PDA/Phone combos using ActiveSync on Verizon, Sprint, and Cingular's networks. We are using our FE Exchange Server (webmail server) published through ISA for the ActiveSync and it is working very nicely.

Cingular/AT&T tech support told me that their network cannot support what my users are trying to do (Exchange ActiveSync, Goodlink), so we don't currently use them, except for a few telephone-only users. Verizon tech support is nothing to brag about, either. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Larry Wahlers Sent: Monday, March 14, 2005 2:19 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Testing ActiveSync > Cingular really needs to fix their tech support... Without doubt. I've heard Verizon has the best support, but I went with Cingular because most of my friends did, and we can all talk for free on Cingular's plan. As far as the MPx220 phone is concerned, I have a love/hate relationship with it. I love being able to walk around without a Palm device, pager, and cell phone. It's great to have all my Outlook information in my mobile phone. And the voice-activated dialing right from your Outlook contact list with no training is superb. There are a few add-on programs you can buy for little $$ that make it look and feel more like Outlook, also. HOWEVER, the operating system (Windows Mobile 2003 2nd Edition) is buggy to the point of extreme frustration. I have to power-cycle the phone at least once a day just to keep it working. Basically, it acts like Windows 95 - when something doesn't work (which even includes making and answering phone calls), reboot. -- Larry Wahlers Concordia Technologies The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
