I wouldn't think they could have deleted all of their calendar entries that
easily.

I've been going through my application event log to see if there are any
smoking guns. I found the following (the last one seems like it might be the
most relevant)

Source: MSExchange IS Mailbox
Event ID: 1147
Category: Rules

Error 1245 while disabling rule on public folder with rule ID 1-58F827. The
folder ID of the public folder is in the data section of this event.

We don't use public folders so this seems an unlikely problem.

Source: Userenv
Event ID: 1517

Windows saved user ANSCI\AEDon on registry while an application or service was
still using the registry during log off. The memory used by the user's
registry has not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it is no
longer in use.

AEDon is not one of the accounts that is having problems with deleted messages.

A few days ago there were a bunch of messages like this

Source: MSExchangeIS Mailbox
Category: Views
Event ID: 1173
Type: Warning

Error 0x6bb deleting unused restricted views from folder 1-266CC1E on database
"Storage Group 2\Mailbox Store". Microsoft Exchange Information Sore will try
to delete the view again at the next maintenance interval.

Both users reporting problems were in Storage Group 2.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Curt

People "accidentally" delete things on mobile devices all the time, it only
takes a slightly off keystroke or swipe of the finger to do so on such a small
screen.

No delegates (I assume you are talking about the kind that can access another
person's mailbox). By mobile devices - you're talking about something like a
phone or are you talking about a laptop? The person who lost her calendar is
definitely on a laptop. I don't recall if she has a phone or not. How would
these devices cause problems?

In the last couple of days I've had two users tell me they have had mail
disappear. Any suggestions what might be happening? Mail store corrupt? I
have Exchange 2003 where do I proceed from here? Thanks for your help.
