I can't fix your computer unfortunately but I wanted to say I love the column.
I had always seen it in the MT but didn't start reading it until I came here
last month - funny and useful, a good combination.

Hi, Expatniki. I have an old desktop that died -- it won't turn on, so I
suspect the processor is dead (?). I need to extract all my files, including
email files (which are apparently hard to locate on the hard drive). I have a
couple of computer guys, but I am a bit nervous about their level of expertise.
Can anyone provide recommendations?
