Having run 13 Nats in the last 15 years, here is my take. You could do just fine on the concrete with old tires, because of the grippy surface. I am living proof that it is not the case with our new slippery asphalt. I ran at hpt twice this year before Nats with the old tires and didnt do too terrible, but with the cool weather that we had this year for Nats, old tires killed me. My first run the 2nd day, I dnf's 2 times on the same run. I guess it would have helped for a 85 degree day with the sun beating down on the asphalt, or a tire warmer. I had neither at this years Nats. extremely disappointed, Bill Schmidt ps... they are gonna have to do something with the spectator area for the east course for next year! It held about 10 people.

Or does the fun of competing on equal terms and winning make up for it? ________________________________ FormulaCar Magazine - A Proud Supporter of Formula 500 The Official Publication of Junior Formula Car Racing Subscribe Today! www.formulacarmag.com or 519-624-2003 _________________________________ _______________________________________________ F500 mailing list - [email protected] To unsubscribe or change options please visit: http://f500.org/mailman/listinfo/f500 *** Please, DO NOT send unsubscribe requests to the mailing list! ***
