Herb, We have a locked rear and have felt the need for 4WD on several occasions.
Such as the time our rig sunk in the artesian wells of Grattan. Or when we spent an hour trying to back into a wet hill of a paddock space at Mid Ohio. Or fighting the snow on our way down to Sebring or up to Gingerman. I could go on, but my next truck will definitely by 4WD. The deals being offered make buying a truck from dealer stock instead of ordering very appealing. So all the local dealers only stock 4 wheel drive pickups. I've never considered towing with a 4 wheel drive. Are there any significant advantages or disadvantages to consider?
