I used to set the belt tension such that, with the car sitting on the ground, I could twist the belt with my hand and get it to go about 65-75 degrees from it's resting position with moderate amount of effort.
Do you typically have to re-set the tension on a belt after installing it, or are the belt lengths pretty consistent? With the new belt on, I'm probably on the high side of this range (~75), but its hard to eyeball. Not quite 90, but significantly more than 45. I didn't make any changes to the suspension arm lengths.
