...then that is exactly what he should tell us: that although it 
wasn't "real" he experienced it as real in his own mind.

I have no problem with that.

But when someone, on the one hand, states unequivically, that he 
experienced a real, actual phenomenon and then states, upon 
questioning, equivocates, then, yeah, I have a problem with the 
honesty of the first statement.  And, again, I don't like being 
bullshitted.
