FWIW, I read last weak, in the Houston Chronicle, that the Pentagon has
received a copy of the manuscript and is currently reviewing it to see if there
are any problems, which has only delayed it's release. As for *Swift- boating *
Obama, I don't know that it does, by any account. However, the W.H. seems to be
nervous about this book.

FWIW:

"The publisher and author have endured some public criticism for
failing to provide a copy of the manuscript for government
vetting before the book was announced. The Defense Department
said last week that the author had violated department
regulations requiring review of any official information
intended for public release that relates to military matters,
national security issues or subjects of significant concern to
the department."

But the swift-boating of Kerry was entirely legitimate,
wasn't it? So why should you object if this book swift-
boats Obama?

BTW, while the proceeds of sales of the book may be going to
charity, I have my doubts as to whether the rest of the money
he receives as a result of having written it will also go to
charity (speaking fees, etc.). I could be wrong, but royalties
are not the only income the author of a bestseller may derive
from it.
