Did you notice the "not necessarily those who have been speaking on this forum" phrase? It was put in intention- ally, because I was talking about a more general societal attitude to strip clubs than the tack the discussions have taken here. In general, in American society, I think that people of both sexes have been programmed to feel guilty about viewing members of the opposite sex as sex objects. Again in general, many of those for whom this programming "took" IMO seek to "correct" those for whom it didn't "take." For example, they want the men who go to strip clubs to feel as guilty about it as they would feel. Thus the move in many communities to make the clubs illegal, to put them legally beyond the bounds of proper society. I really didn't have you in mind.
