I'm spending more time in the living room since I retired. I used to spend hours every day at a desk in front of banks of computers and monitors. At home Rita and I put our home office in the back room by the patio which is fully wired with two high-speed workstations that I built. But, I'm tired of being that old nerd in the back room by yourself, even if it does have a view of the lake! But, the back room is to small, so I just took over the living room and set up my Ultra Book on the bar counter so I could see the 70' Mitsubishi from across the room. If I want to get really comfy, I can sit in one of the Lazy Boys with my Toshiba connected by wireless to the server in back. Sweet! Now that's better! The only problem is the HDMI cable running across the room. Go figure. P.S. Well, not the only problem - Rita is making me go to the gym every day.
