I don't even see them as jerks. I might have done the same thing a decade
ago. OK, I guess I would have been a jerk. But if you feel a strong sense of
loyalty to MMY, believe the "purity of the teaching" idea, etc., you can't
help but see someone who becomes a "free agent" as disloyal and a threat.
