When I say that, it is not in terms of what the ego may then strut about believing, it is in terms of the functioning of the nervous system towards the goal of Self Realization. On the other hand, the seeker may never reach enlightenment after getting good results from the Yoga Sutras. Manifesting the result of a Sutra is just a symptom of good progress in one channel out of many, much as the ability for good eye-hand coordination may make one a good pilot, regardless of whether one actually continues on the path of eventually flying a plane.
