Agreed. IMO the reason why some do not grow, regardless of tradition followed or technique practised, is carma. At one point Maharishi said he had to choose; to stay in the Himalayas with a few disciples, or bring this Knowledge to the general public. We know His choice. Some of us are very greatful indeed that He made that choice. But; "It has been a total sacrifice of life, but necessary to bring in this new age." -Maharishi, Germany, october 1982. Restlesness not overcome, perhaps because of genetics. Maharishi had us do a rather peculiar and interesting workshop; everyone had to trace their anchestors. The fellow who "won" was from Norway; he could trace his father/father to the norwegian king Mr. "Harald Beautiful Hair", (Harald harfagre), the King who, by killing everyone that did not agree to his vision, made that country into one country. About 900 AC I believe. However, belonging to a very long string of coherent genetic codes, that peculiar fellow was said to be gifted solely because of his anchestors. Apparently Maharishi Sees that the mixing of genes makes an individual restless, less prone to seek transcendence. And if he does he is less successful. Any here of true mixed-races ? Would be interesting, if without prejudice, to hear your opinion on this ! This comment could also, if seen without predjudice, shed light to the neverending discussion here about "caste".
