Similar to me, I was there at his Ashram in Bangalore in 1993 I think, but had booked an evening train to Delhi, stupidly enough. I could have come the night before, but had simply missed it. So I sat in one of the offices, just meditating for half an hour. But that was it! It was absolutely amazing. I went off that Ashram in such an amazing elevated state I will always remember. One year later he attained Mahasamadhi. Funny sidestory: When I was there, I asked a girl if the Swami is in Samadhi, as he had practised 12 yrs samadhi when he was young. She misunderstood and said, 'no, no he is very much alive' Just one year befor he died. She must have thought that I was Yama, if she ever remembeed that later ;-) > There is talk that He has already taken a new body, or perhaps > entered an excisting one upon maha-samadhi - do you have any > information on that ? I know that there are at least 3 claimants for this. 2 of them visit USA regularely. Okay, here the link to the original guy: http://www.shiva.org/home.htm This is one of the claimants, a friend is involved in: http://www.shivabalayogiguru.org/ he says very much he IS Shivabalayogi Then there is Shivabalananda http://www.meditate-shivabala.org/tour.html who also tours US and is married. There is also Shivarudrabalayogi http://www.shivarudrabalayogi.com/index.html All claim that they have Shivabalayogis power, but the last two don't claim necessarily to 'incarnate' him directly. IMHO it just shows what a great yogi he was, and that he could extend his power to other disciples, to whatever degree.
