We're looking at introducing a "Plugin Explorer" to manage the installation and removal of plugins. For now this is simple albeit a manual process. Plugins can be anything -- a change of look and feel, additional UI controls, a configuration change, an entire application and so on. Some plugins require administration interfaces and others do not. You shouldn't be surprised that you can also alter the behaviour of plugins from within your project. For example, farcrycfximage simply swaps out java based transformations of images to a C++ library. Google Maps provides a Map and location content type, a publishing rule and administration interfaces (consequently requiring a tab in the webtop). Plugins are plugins -- they are going to be confusing if you don't know what they do because they can be built be anyone and can do just about anything. A selection of plugins and their documentation can be found here: http://docs.farcrycms.org:8080/confluence/display/FCPLUG/Home How can we improve things to make plugins less confusing? -- geoff http://www.daemon.com.au/ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "farcry-dev" group.
