I have to say I'm really in a sweat about EU too. I hear what you're
saying about trying to cover the whole course in a skeletal way but
I'm not sure if that's the way to go for EU. The questions are so hard
and so detailed that I am more trying to "spot" questions and try to
prepare them as best as possible. As far as I can see, in the last 6
papers the following topics have come up each time:
Institutions & courts
FM Goods
FM workers / citizens
Competition
Gender Equality
So that would hopefully get five questions.
I also did the chapter on supremacy and direct effect yesterday. I
covered the sources of law thing a few weeks ago but I don't think it
yields too many questions. The procedures chapter is massive so I
think I might just take a chance on Art 234 but I'm slightly worried
that procedures might overlap into other areas. I will also be setting
aside a few hours to cover the stuff in the short chapters.

I'm also wondering why so many people leave Competition out when it's
a guaranteed question every time? I haven't gotten stuck into it yet
so maybe the reason will become apparent.

Sorry, I know my meanderings aren't much use. I really wish I had
started this earlier. The problem with EU more so than any other
subject is that the cases are so un-memorable. The subject matter of
the case is usually banal and the concepts are so unnecessarily
complicated! Anyway, have to pass it before Lisbon gets through and
they change it all yet again.
