Thanks for reporting this Alistair - I have responded to the comment
on the documentation page you referred to
(https://wiki.duraspace.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=30217519).

The JAR file itself is not corrupt, but the link to
fcrepo-drupalauthfilter-3.4.2.jar on the GitHub page
(https://github.com/islandora-deprecated/islandora-dist/tree/master/servlet_filter)
is not itself a download link. Rather, it takes you to the GitHub page
for the file - from there you can click on the 'raw' link to download
the raw file
(https://github.com/islandora-deprecated/islandora-dist/raw/master/servlet_filter/fcrepo-drupalauthfilter-3.4.2.jar).
This is the same link referred to in the comment on the doc page as
the correct one.

So if you downloaded
https://github.com/islandora-deprecated/islandora-dist/blob/master/servlet_filter/fcrepo-drupalauthfilter-3.4.2.jar
directly you would indeed get a corrupt JAR file because it would just
be HTML. This is a bit confusing, so I'll update the docs to be more
specific about how to download the fcrepo-drupalauthfilter-3.4.2.jar.

Hope this helps!

David
