Hmmm, I'll def try that (their bedding) after a web search. I'm already
spraying Feliway everywhere so what the heck
While I rather like the idea of spraying it as they race past
(ha-gotcha, you little scamps!)----I fear it'll make them even more wary
of me!

there's a way to dilute it/aerosolize (sp?) it so you can just spray it
onto them as they race past, or onto their bedding. i'm not sure the
exact proportion/info on how to do so, but like everything, if you do
the right sort of web search, it's out there......

i've never had any particularly positive experience with RR, but i know
that many folks absolutely swear by it. i don't know if it's because
they are more inclined to expect it to work, or what--i'm a firm
believer in placebos, have told my docs for years to prescribe sugar
pills for me as long as they don't tell me.... fine with me if something
works just cuz i expect it to, i'm NOT proud....

but we all know of drugs that don't work, either, so....

i believe that someplace, years ago, i may have read about using the
bach flower essenses without the alcohol for critters? may just be my
imagination.....

I think I actually put the drop in her mouth, I honestly can't
remember exactly. But topically would be better because of the alcohol
base.

well, I always used it topically, neat. worked on me at the
time and I gave Ninja one drop about a half hour before we left for the
vet and one more drop just before and she was just relaxed. the vet was
very curious about it because Ninja was clearly not happy to be there,
but her body was quite relaxed (just a kinda cranky look on her face).
when the boys were younger and I was trying to adjust Bandit's fabric
chewing behavior I tried it on them both - temple/ear - no joy.... I
haven't tried it on them recently but the chewing seems to be under
control and I've used feliway since Smoky had his cystitis issues.
altho - when he kisses my fingers, he has recently started to nibble
too:P

Barb, do you dilute or give neat?...What change of behavior did
you see in Ninja?

(Maybe I'm expecting too much~! After several months of putting
4 drops in each of their water bowls, morn and night, for several months
now I can't discern any change of behavior in any of my 5 cats (ferals
are pretty well still as feral as ever; and my highly-strung cat is
still as highly strung as ever (I've just started him back on his
chlamypramine again). I'm thinking of giving it up & finding a better
use for the $$. ) Kerry

Rescue Remedy is like all other medicines and herbal treatments,
it works well for some people and it doesn't work at all for others. RR
worked on my sweet Ninja but I could pour the whole bottle down Bandit's
throat w/no reaction.

So, I was really excited to get some rescue remedy and try it
out on the kitties to see how amazingly it worked-no luck! Am I doing
something wrong? I bought the regular rescue remedy in the dropper form
and the rescue sleep in the spray. I was hoping to use it at night or
the early morning hours when things get out of control at our house.
Mainly it's just two of our cats who wrestle and fight (play fight)
constantly-non stop! It's loud (even though they don't meow), but
they're running into things, stampeding through the hallway, scratching
furniture as they vault over it, mauling each other, etc. They look like
one gray ball rolling around frantically.

When we're awake during the day, it's all very amusing, and I
always break up the fights when they get too serious. Those two hearts
get to beating so fast! One is not picking on the other-both take turns
instigating these fights.

Anyway, I thought maybe the rescue remedy would calm them down
during these situations when we're trying to sleep and they're playing
"rodeo." I squirted the rescue sleep in one cat's mouth. Nothing. I
added it to their water at bed time. No luck. I gave them a drop of the
regular rescue remedy in their mouths. Nada. The circus continued at 4
a.m. without lessening.

Anybody else have zero results with this? Does it only work with
stressed out cats and not rambunctious ones? Maybe we should be using it
on ourselves instead! :-)
