Sherry I am so sorry to hear about poor Jaws. Not many cats survive getting caught in a car engine. We tried to save a feral cat who hid in one of the trucks where I work. The guy felt so guilty. He had no way to know the cat was in the engine. I held her as we went to the vet. The vet did her best. The cat came home but the injury was too severe. No kidney function. Her whole rear end was crushed. The sad part is she was dying in my arms and I kept her alert. I should have let her go to sleep. I think she would have died then. Peace to these babies.
