No the door wasn't left open. I have a door then a small foyer,and then another door to come into the house.I had someone helping me with my TV when we smelled the gas. I started to close the windows. I guess he went to close the window on the staircase when I heard the fireman. I yelled.I'm not sure if I cursed. I think I did.I SIAD WHY IS THE F G DOOR OPEN.THAT'S WHEN I HEARD THE FIREMAN. MY FRIEND SHOULD NOT HAVE OPEND THE DOOR WITHOUT CLOSING THEOTHER ONE.HE SAID THE CATS RAN WHEN THEY SAW THE FIREMAN.THAT'SS WHEN THE FIREMAN SAID NO CATS GOT OUT.I DON'T LET TOO MANY PEOLE IN MY HOUSE. I HAVE TO WATCH THE ONES THAT DO COME. COME IN ONE DOOR,CLOSE AND THEN OPEN THE OTHER ONE.NOT THAT HARD RIGHT? BUT IF THEY GET OUT THEY RUN INSIDE,OR I CAN PICK THEM UP.It happened once.Cathy
