Yes Veal calves r sick for their very short lives. And very anemic, hence the 
light color meat. They lick thebars of their cages for iron. One ofthe most 
barbaric practices I've heard of. Let alone that they r taken away from their 
mothers who have  a very strongmaternal bond. very sad. We don't need milk 
after we r babies!! But the dairy industry tells us we do.
