support and advice. In addition to the Lysine, I
think we will be adding B12 this week to her diet.
Hopefully a diet she will eventually be eating on her
own.
Update: last night after a pretty unsuccessful force
feeding session that ended in cat urine all over, yet
again, (she has been urinating on us during feedings
almost daily for the last 4 days), we had pretty much
decided to give this up - it stresses her out and us
out. HOWEVER, right after that she sniffed and LICKED
both some kitten formula and her food (a/d and baby
food mixed) and seemed a LOT more interested in
catnip, although not enough to do more than barely
lick it. She didn't eat but my boyfriend said she did
later drink a little water. She may finally be
willing to eat on her own! This is the first time
s! ! he's licked anything (even things we put on her
lips/feet) since Saturday, October 2nd.
We were barely able to syringe her some nutri-cal just
to carry her over until today. I have a lofty goal of
having her gain .5 pound by Monday (back from the 1
pound she lost in 1 week). I'd take eating ANYTHING
daily as a sign of success tho.
Jill
