Yes a feeding tube is the only thing that may turn him around, and
his chances have gone down because he is getting worse, best case
scenario would have been to get the tube before this got worse, but
that's a mute point now, he needs food and an e-tube is what he needs, I
would think an emergency vet could provide that but not sure. Once he
has a tube I can help alot Buddie had her tube for about 2 months give
or take, but the last few month or so it was just there incase, she was
eating agin already, as I said though Buddie started eating alittle even
after her surgery, I didn't want to wait for the tube until she was in
crisis after she fought so hard to beat the sepsis.

If you get the tube make sure and get 20 cc syringes, they seem to be
the easiest to use. Get metocholprimde which needs to be given 3 times
a day before the first meal, the third meal and the 5th meal (I was
feeding Buddie 5 to 6 times a day), it gets the digestive juices going
to help kitties not throw the food back up. The e-tube is the easiest
to go with and it is for short term us (my vet had one cat that had hers
for up to a year though, so it can last longer), when Buddies was
removed it was still in perfect condition.
