He also does not have fatty liver (hepatic lipidosis), which is what your cat 
had. They could tell that from the ultrasound friday afternoon and his blood 
work, and he has not gone even one day without food since then. His liver 
problems are from something else, either hepatitis or lymphoma.  It is 
important 
to prevent hepatic lipidosis, I agree, but that is not what his problem is at 
this point.
