We could agree on a 2m regency for the show. Not sure if there are repeaters
in the area. Been meaning to break out my handy-talkie for a while now.
What ham radio linux applications are "you" using out there my Linux peeps?

There are repeaters in the area, but I have a very hard time hitting any of them with an HT. I think it would work if we coordinate with the clubs to identify some unused simplex channels and use those. How large an area do we expect our radios to cover?

For programming various radios, CHIRP is quite nice. See http://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Home
