Margarethe Hald's "Ancient Danish Textiles from Bogs and Burials" is rare
and difficult to find, but a weaver's dream - she sketches each fragment and
shows how the threads are interwoven, interlaced, etc.

I got mine from the National Museum in Copenhagen; they have it in both Danish and English in the museum shop. I think it cost the equivalent of $40 when I bought it a year ago. I'm not sure whether they ship over-seas, but if there's no other place to get it it's well worth a try. They're very nice and helpful people there! (I live in Sweden myself, which doesn't qualify as particularly far away from Denmark, spacially or linquistcally ;)!)
