<<I just have to say - knitting with my handspun wool is sooo much more enjoyable than knitting with acrylic.>>

I won't even buy plastic yarn anymore, in any form, it's just not pleasant to touch or work with or wear. That's one reason I'm finally knitting myself a sweater--I can't afford a boughten sweater in natural fibers!

Not to mention the unsustainability of how acrylic and other fake fibers are made.

But handspun wool is also much more satisfying than factory made wool yarn. It's loftier, cushier, it's not artificially smooth, it bounces, it's stretchy, it's alive! I do like some commercial wool yarns, but none of them compare to handspun even so, no matter how high the quality.

Of course, there is some handspun that's unpleasant. Overtwisting the singles is the biggest culprit, then underplying. And choosing fibers too coarse for the end purpose. You should see the first handspun I made--all those faults :) But I saved a couple balls of it anyway, and it makes great leaders on my bobbins!
