I'm hoping someone can help me out. I decided to give Kati Meek's
trapese method of warping a try--once it finally dawned on me that we
OWN this house, so I can put holes in the ceiling to my heart's content <g>
My dh set up the trapeze, and I tried it, with little success. Part of
the problem is I accepted a commission to do 48 dish towels, and it
requires 4 warps do to my equipment limitations. So I tied the 2nd warp
onto the first, slung it over the trapeze and weighted it, and had
innumerable tangles because of starting with the knots instead of
slipping the loops over the back rod like usual.
But another problem is that the edges wind on tighter than the center,
because at some point on every warp (that's not sectional), the width of
the warp is gathered together.
I can't find the Handwoven that had Kati's article in it, to see if she
had some suggestions to alleviate this problem.
Does anyone know what Handwoven it was in? I think I've mislaid that
issue, but at least if I know what it was, I can look in my files to see
if I accidently put it back where it belongs :)
And, in case I can't find mine at all (because I really don't think I've
put away ANY magazines since showing Zack that article), can someone
read it and see if there's anything about this problem? Or, does anyone
have any personal experience that might help?

working with enough other handicaps with this lemon of a loom, don't
need to add tight selvages to the rest!
