I got the 'standard' or castle Schacht. I warp back to front. I'm used
to taking the breast beam off (no problem there) and the beater out
(can't do it now) and setting a folding metal chair amongst the
treadles, facing the back of the loom, to thread. It puts the eye of
the heddle at just the right height and distance for fast, easy
threading, with the warp on the lease sticks behind the shafts.
