Nice to have some success to report. I reinstalled Finale on both
computers, and in the case of the desktop that fixed the font problem. Not
the laptop Mover problem though, but when I upgraded to 2k2b (the highest
upgrade I saw on the Coda site) that DID fix the Mover problem. Is there a
2k2c somewhere not obvious, or is b the end of the line for 2k2?
Anyway, on to tutorial 1b! :-)

You can reinstall just the fonts from the CD, but given the anomalies you
are describing, you'd probably be better to reinstall everything on both
computers. Don't forget to download and install the 2k2 maintenance
updates as well. (I think 2k2c was the last maintenance update?)
