Please, not a Mac/PC war. Look, I've only used Windows since I switched from a series of various microcomputer brands in 1992. I used to find Macs entirely opaque, and still don't care for certain aspects that aren't (or weren't) as configurable as Windows. Macs do fine work and people I respect love to use them. But I've produced just as good work on Windows boxes, even way back when they supposedly couldn't do decent audio or graphics. They're both fine. Get what you like, and it will do the job.
