Chuck is right on! PopChar is always in the corner of your menu bar, and when you select the character, it pastes it in place. No other interaction needed. It's one of those really indispensable utilities.
I used it and loved it 'way back in OS 6, but after a while it didn't work any more. Can someone give me a location to look for it? (Assuming that it works on OS 10 these days.)
