I've so far kept my oar out of this puddle, because I'm not sure I have
enough information to make a meaningful contribution. For example, when

These are not piano staves........will that make a difference? I have

I'm not sure what he means by "two guitar (single staves)". It would
help to know exactly how you started the file. Did you start "from
scratch"? Did you use the set-up wizard? If you use a template for the
score, which one? Have you added any staves that might be between the
two guitar staves? Have you moved the position of either (or both) of
the guitar staves within the grand staff since you set up the score?
I'm not going to venture a guess on what the problem is, but if you want
to email me a copy of the file, I'll be happy to see if I can find a
solution.
