I feel MM! is to be a part of this mess. Finale first instantiate all the available plug-ins then disable them if not NI made. To do this, they twisted the loading mechanism, that is to depend on instrument.txt file instead of using OS API.
I never install Kontakt Player since I have Kontakt2 with all the editing functions. Does anyone know how I can use Kontakt2 in Finale? Their support system doesn't seems to have the answer. I feel this is rather ridiculous. If they support NI, Kontakt2 should show up without any tweaking. P.S.
