Sorry that I haven't read the whole thread, so this may be way off base,
but my first thought was to Optimize. That sometimes fixes a multitude
of previous changes.

Check the margins for one of the systems. Maybe one of the margin
settings got set to something so large (or small) that the music is
actually there, just displaying somewhere completely off the page.

I reset the system margins and now I have several systems per page, which
shouldn't be, since there are six staves per system. Still no music, just the
dotted lines and small boxes. Here are the measurements for all systems, exept
the top margin of system one, in inches:
Top: 0,37153; left: 0,04861; right: 0,04861; bottom: 0,78125
Distance between systems: 0.3
