When this was added to Finale my first request was to create a duplicate button so we could create the "revised" groups with ease. This can be very helpful when working with Codas that start in the middle of a system where the group names do not show but they do again at the beginning of the next system. The other idea I proposed to them was to allow the measure numbers to be treated similarly to the print dbx where you can specify which pages to be printed (1-2, 6, 9-32) but in this case we are allow to specify measure numbers. This would be helpful with the above mid-system Coda example above but also when Solo parts come in and out in a score.
This change is another example of only partially completing a "new" feature that makes workflows worse. I would encourage people that are not happy about this to contact MM with request a fix.
