Yep, already done those. I have un-authorised
(or whatever...) the program ready for my epic
reinstall of windows tomorrow. It won't let me
save anything. I had taken off the force hide,
and the allow hide, or whatever it was. When I
go to change spacing, I have everything selected,
but the 'set to scroll view' is greyed out, and I cannot select it.

Did this work on your machine? Like I said,
something is screwed up here. If the file works
for you with those changes, then it isn't just my
Finale which is screwy. The whole of windows is
going bonkers! Currently, nearly all my icons
have disappeared. I cannot do anything with
windows explorer... Basically, it's a dead parrot!

I have ReImage on here, and they claim it can
rebuild windows, replace any corrupted system
files, all that good stuff. To be honest, it has
worked several times for me in the past, which is
why I keep the subscription going. I have run it
twice this time, and it hasn't fixed anything...
I was going to try a non-destructive install, but
if it is some other piece of software which is
screwing things up, I would just be back at
square one. So, I am going to bite the bullet
and start from scratch. My data is all on
different drives, so that part of it should be
easy. Just reinstall each program - dozens of
them - and point each one to its data directory. How hard can it be?

I figure if *that* doesn't work, then I have some
kind of kinky hardware issue. Heaven knows what...

Phil.
