I don't understand this discussion at all: The Fink version of gaim that I can see in both 10.3/stable and 10.3/unstable is 0.75-11. Which cutting edge is missing there?

Yes it has been brought up to 0.75-11 for some time now.
There was a month or two though when Gaim fell behind, so I found out it compiled normally again and have kept using it hehe.
Cant get more cutting edge than that unless you go to 0.76, which is only in CVS, and has the now well documented security issues.
well, i see you point, but after syncing many, many times, i still receive 0.71 as the latest source avaialable, and it's labeled as 'unstable'. i have 10.2.8, could that matter?
