Im running the latest version from sourceforge, 0.75 with no
problems whatesoever.
Used to keep up with Fink until they fell behind versions, and
then removed 0.75.

I don't understand this discussion at all: The Fink version of gaim
that I can see in both 10.3/stable and 10.3/unstable is 0.75-11.
Which cutting edge is missing there?

Yes it has been brought up to 0.75-11 for some time now.
There was a month or two though when Gaim fell behind, so I found
out it compiled normally again and have kept using it hehe.
Cant get more cutting edge than that unless you go to 0.76, which is
only in CVS, and has the now well documented security issues.
well, i see you point, but after syncing many, many times, i still
receive 0.71 as the latest source avaialable, and it's labeled as
'unstable'. i have 10.2.8, could that matter?
That's the version for 10.2.8/stable. 10.2.8/unstable has 0.74
that's interesting. which trees do you take from? i must be taking
from the wrong ones
