where changes to the documentation are announced (either by sending teh CVS commit message) or manually. Then changes which are _very_ important would be only available in English at first, later translated. For text that is not too important or structural changes we could wait for the translators to catch up and then commit the whole thing as a batch.
Personally I would agree that the english FAQ has to remain the authorative one.
